Biographical note

Claudio Mazzetti holds a Laurea (MSc equivalent) in History from the University of Florence and a MA in International Politics (Cum Laude) from the Centre Européen de Recherches Internationales et Stratégiques in Brussels together with University of Paris XI, Centre of Excellence Jean Monnet. He worked for the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kosovo and for the European Parliament in Luxembourg. From 2004 to 2009 he worked in Brussels for one of the European leading consultancy firm, AESA. He was Project Manager, then Coordinator of the FWCs’ Social Department and finally he acted as Head of the Social Department.

As Project Director/Manager he managed more than 150 EC funded projects/technical assistances in third/developing countries. He has been lecturer and vocational trainer for the European Parliament, University of Padua – Belgian Italian Chamber of Commerce, Confindustria EU Delegation, AICCRE, and University of Siena. He was Italy’s Representative at the European Federation of Engineering Consultancy Associations (EFCA) workshop: “The identification and definition of new and emerging project management services”. He also wrote the main chapter, “Perspectives for national actors: normative fonts and operative references”, for three manuals dedicated to the EC instruments IPA, ENPI and DCI, published by Italy’s Permanent Representation to the European Union. From Janauray 2010 he works at EUI as Project Manager.
